SmartVent gives your greenhouse a mind of its own. The wax-piston actuator opens the panel automatically when the internal temperature climbs around 22 °C, and closes it as the air cools. No power, no app, nothing to plug in.

It means your seedlings are protected from scorching on a hot April afternoon, even if you're at work. It means you don't have to remember. For allotment holders who can't visit daily, or growers of heat-sensitive crops, it's the most sensible upgrade you can make to a NORDIC greenhouse.

Installation

Replace any standard roof panel of your NORDIC greenhouse with the SmartVent unit. You choose the position. Two-person job, around 30–45 minutes per vent. No power tools needed beyond a screwdriver.

At what temperature does it open?
The wax piston begins to expand around 18 °C and is fully open around 22–25 °C.

Does it require electricity?
No. The actuator is a purely mechanical, heat-activated system. Nothing to plug in.

Can I fit this to a SteelRoot greenhouse?
The current SmartVent is sized for the NORDIC range. SteelRoot compatibility is in development.

Can I adjust the opening temperature?
The mechanism is pre-calibrated for the 18–25 °C range. It is not user-adjustable.
