Why Waldenhaus

Built around the parts that usually fail first.

A garden structure is judged in February, not on delivery day. Waldenhaus starts with the joint, the glazing fix, the anchor and the published terms, then designs the greenhouse around them.

01 · Operating standard

A quieter standard for a harder-working greenhouse.

A greenhouse has to make sense at the points under load: the joint, the glazing fix, the anchor and the base. Waldenhaus starts there, then gives the structure the calm garden presence it needs.

That is why the site keeps returning to specific numbers. A buyer should be able to judge the greenhouse before it reaches the garden.

Check 01 The joint

1.2 mm galvanised steel reinforcement at structural timber nodes.

Check 02 The glazing fix

Screw-fixed twin-wall polycarbonate, specified by greenhouse range.

Check 03 The terms

Warranty and return wording published before the order decision.

02 · Proof system

Six decisions you can inspect before buying.

Each point below ties the claim to a build detail, a published term or an included part, so the choice is based on construction rather than decoration.

Galvanised steel bracket fixed to a NORDIC timber corner
Frame logic

Galvanised steel at the node, not just timber meeting timber.

NORDIC uses 45 x 45 mm FSC Swedish pine with 1.2 mm galvanised steel angle brackets at structural joints. The visual language stays quiet; the joint does the work.

Screw-fixed glazing detail with washer
Glazing

Screw-fixed panels.

The panels are mechanically fixed, so the glazing system is clear, inspectable and easy to understand before installation.

Anchoring

Ground anchors included as standard.

The sensible fixing should not feel like an afterthought. Every greenhouse range is built around anchoring as part of the system.

Terms

Warranty wording is visible before checkout.

The NORDIC and SteelRoot warranty lines are quoted in full on the page, so the terms can be judged before the order.

Greenhouse components organised in the workshop
Workshop

Built by a 20-year workshop.

The product starts with repeatable greenhouse-making experience, then a UK team handles range choice, service, warranty and parts.

Weather register

Designed for the garden after the first season.

The page is not built around perfect-weather photography only. British garden structures need to make sense in wet paths, cold mornings and long periods of use.

03 · Materials, not adjectives

Wood and steel are treated as systems, not styles.

NORDIC and SteelRoot look different because they solve different garden problems. NORDIC brings timber warmth into a domestic garden. SteelRoot uses a galvanised arch for longer, more exposed growing plots. The shared standard is the same: screw-fixed glazing, anchored frames, published terms.

NORDIC

45 x 45 mm FSC Swedish pine.

For gardens where the greenhouse should feel permanent, warm and architectural without pretending to be a heritage glasshouse.

SteelRoot

Closed-section galvanised steel arch.

For longer rows, exposed plots and growers who want the frame geometry to do more of the weather work.

04 · Published terms

The conditions are part of the product.

For a considered garden purchase, the terms should not appear only after checkout. Waldenhaus publishes the warranty wording, return window and parts-support logic before the order decision.

Warranty wording

NORDIC

"10-year anti-rot frame warranty (conditional on re-treating timber with any UK-purchased wood preservative every 2 years) + 2-year polycarbonate panel warranty (manufacturer defects)"

Warranty wording

SteelRoot

"2-year manufacturing defect warranty on cellular polycarbonate panels + 10-year anti-corrosion warranty on the galvanised steel frame"

Returns

14 days from delivery.

Unused and in original packaging. Customer pays return shipping. The route is clear if the structure does not suit the garden.
