We read hundreds of reviews and every question our customers send. These are the worries that come up most, for greenhouses and for garden saunas, with what we do about each one and where you can check it.
What could go wrong with a greenhouse?
SteelRoot in galvanised steel and NORDIC in Swedish pine. What buyers ask before they order, and what we do about each.
Will it stand up to a British winter?Screwed-down sheets · anchors in the box
What we do
Every polycarbonate sheet is screwed down at its edges, with a washer under each screw head, not held in by spring clips. The ground anchors come in the box. SteelRoot arches stand every 1 m, or every 0.67 m as an option for exposed plots; NORDIC has 1.2 mm galvanised steel brackets at every structural joint.
We don’t publish a wind rating. The warranty excludes sustained wind above 50 mph and Met Office Named Storms, and says so up front.

What we do
The full assembly manual is online before you order, so you can read every step first. SteelRoot fixings come bagged and counted. We don’t offer assembly: a local handyman can quote from the manual.
When does it arrive, and where does it stop?1–4 weeks from order · to your kerb
What we do
Delivered in 1–4 weeks from order: one pallet, set down at your kerb, UK mainland. The carrier books the day with you. From the kerb to the plot is yours, so walk the route first.
What do we stand it on?A base plan for your length
What we do
Each SteelRoot page gives a base plan for your length: the outer line, the frame line inside it and both diagonals. On firm, level soil the anchors in the box hold it. On concrete, slabs or a timber frame you bolt it down with U-brackets, bought separately.
Will the panels crack or work loose?Twin-wall polycarbonate, 4 or 6 mm
What we do
Twin-wall polycarbonate, not glass, 4 mm as standard or 6 mm as an option, screwed down with a washer at every edge. Manufacturing defects in the panels are covered by the written warranty.

What we do
The full terms are published before you order: what is covered, what is not and what is yours to do. A claim is one email or WhatsApp message with photos; you get a decision within 7 working days, with no site visit.
If a part breaks in three years, then what?Parts kept for 10 years
What we do
We keep parts for 10 years. A part you broke is quoted at cost price plus delivery before you pay. A cracked sheet can also be cut by any UK plastics supplier, and we confirm the size.

What we do
Calculators for the size and the full cost. The price includes the ground anchors; fixings for a hard base and tape for the panel ends are extra, and each page says so.
Who actually makes it?
A full-size factory in the European Union makes it, and you buy it first-hand: we are the importer, with no wholesaler or marketplace seller in between.

What do I pay, and who am I paying?
The price includes VAT and import charges. Delivery is free to most UK mainland postcodes; Northern Ireland, the Highlands and the islands add a set surcharge, shown before checkout.

An expert answers
We answer before you order, and after you pay
On WhatsApp, by email, or we call you back. After you pay it is the same people, until the pallet is at your kerb and after it.
Prefer we put the order together? Send the model, length, glazing and extras you want and we send a payment link with it all set.
Is there anything to pay at the door?
No. The greenhouse comes from the European Union and we are the importer: duty, VAT and customs clearance are done and in the price. A VAT invoice on request.
Can I pay in instalments?
Where Klarna offers it for your order, its pay-in-3 terms are shown beside the price and again at checkout; the amounts and approval are Klarna’s. Card payments go through Shopify’s secure checkout: we never see your card number. A school, a council or a company? Ask us for a formal quotation.
Is it safe to pay before it arrives?
You pay at order for a delivery in 1–4 weeks, not months. Until our “In production” email, usually within 5 working days, you can cancel free of charge. Card and Klarna payments carry their provider’s protection, and your rights under the Consumer Rights Act apply. After you pay, the same people answer: WhatsApp, email or a call back.

Missing or damaged on arrivalWe send it free, delivery paidEvery kit is picked against its packing list at the factory. If a part is still short or damaged, write “damaged” on the delivery note, check the list within 14 days, photograph it and email us.

We don’t post single polycarbonate sheets as spares: any UK plastics supplier cuts the same twin-wall, and we check your sizes. A panel with a manufacturing defect is sent under the warranty.

What could go wrong with a garden sauna?

What we do
The Cabin Three electric is priced without a heater; choose PC70 or PC70E on its product page. Other electric editions include a Harvia PC70; wood-fired editions include a stove and flue kit. Each sauna page lists what is not in the crate: the base, the electrician or the flue sign-off, sauna stones, exterior treatment, roof sealant and tools.
Will our electrics run it?Its own 35 A circuit, by your electrician
What we do
Most UK homes can: the Harvia PC70 runs on single-phase and needs its own 35 A circuit from the consumer unit, fitted and certified by a qualified electrician. Each electric page sets out what to show your electrician, so you have the quote before you order.
Can we burn wood where we live?Your council decides; we check the address
What we do
Put your postcode in on a wood-fired page: we tell you which council decides on smoke control areas and confirm the address with them before anything is built. In England and Wales the stove and flue are building work under Part J.

Will rain get in?Bitumen shingles, sealed edges
What we do
A curved roof of bitumen shingles over solid timber boards, and steel straps that hold the walls tight as the timber settles. You seal the roof edges at the roof stage, as the manual shows, and the warranty covers the cabin against manufacturing and material defects.
Will it fit, and can we get it in?185 or 240 × 220 cm on the ground
What we do
185 or 240 × 220 cm on the ground. It comes as one crate, 2.4 or 3.4 m long, set down at the kerb, typically 2 to 4 weeks from order. Walk the route from the kerb to the plot before you order.
What does your garden need for an electric sauna?
Four checks, all before you pay. For the electric cabin the one that decides it is the circuit from your house.
We answer what we can from it and tell you who decides the rest.
UK mainland: £545, typically 2 to 4 weeks from order. A few areas cost more: your postcode shows the figure.
35 A from your consumer unit. The sheet below has what they need; the quote comes before the order.
Usually permitted development in England and Wales: 4.1 m² on the ground. Height, distance to a boundary, conservation areas and listed settings change it: your postcode gives your country’s rule.
Councils declare their own smoke control areas, street by street. Electric has no flue, so this check matters only if you are weighing up the wood-fired cabin.

1 / 1The Harvia PC70 runs on UK single-phase. Your electrician decides the rest: the main fuse, what else shares it, the distance and the cable route. An electric shower or an EV charger on the same supply changes the design.

How is the sauna kit delivered and built?
Made to order, one crate to your kerb in 2 to 4 weeks, then two people, ordinary tools and a manual that draws every step.
Your cabin is made to order in about ten days. Before it leaves, we ask for a photograph of your packed crate with its packing list and pass it on to you.
Our carrier calls to book the day, so that you can be there to check the crate. Order to kerb is typically 2 to 4 weeks on the UK mainland. Delivery is £545 on the mainland; a few areas cost more, and the postcode box under the price shows yours.
The crate comes by lorry and is set down at the kerb, on the nearest hard, level standing: driveway or road, not grass, gravel or a slope. The lorry needs room to stop there. The driver does not carry the crate into the garden.
Note any damage on the delivery note and take photos, then count the parts against the packing list. Email us within 14 days and we replace damaged or missing parts free of charge, delivery included.

How do you care for a timber outdoor sauna?
Four jobs matter: treat the outside before the first session and leave the inside untreated, keep the roof sealed, tighten the straps a month after the build and then once a year, and after each session leave the door ajar and the vent open until the room is dry. If it is rarely used, air it on a dry day every few weeks.

We keep replacement parts for 10 years from your purchase date: a board, a fitting, a panel.
We do not put a number of years on it. The written warranty is 2 years; the rest is the four jobs above: treat, seal, tighten, dry.
What don’t you do?
Better to know now than after the pallet arrives.
- We don’t assemble
Not for any greenhouse or sauna. The manuals are online, so a local handyman or joiner can quote before you order.
- No showroom
Instead, each page carries the manual, the base plan and photographs taken at the works.
- No wind rating
We don’t publish one for the greenhouses, and the warranty says what it excludes.
- The base is yours
And for a sauna, the electrician or the flue installer. Fixings for a concrete, slab or timber base are not in the greenhouse box.

Write to us before you choose: we will point you to the simplest option, even if it is a smaller one.
