Two warranties.

Each greenhouse is covered against the failure mode that actually matters for its material: rot for timber, corrosion for steel. We list what's covered and what isn't in plain English, on this page, before you order.

NORDIC

Timber greenhouses

10-year anti-rot frame warranty (conditional on re-treating timber with any UK-purchased wood preservative every 2 years) + 2-year polycarbonate panel warranty (manufacturer defects).
What's covered
  • Rot in the load-bearing pine frame attributable to material defect
  • Structural failure caused by frame rot during the warranty period
  • Polycarbonate delamination of the cellular structure
  • Polycarbonate light-transmission loss beyond industry specification
  • Polycarbonate edge cracks originating from a production fault
What's not covered
  • Surface weathering of the timber (silvering, greying, tannin bleed, knot movement, seasonal shrinkage). Slow-grown European pine weathers like this by nature, so it falls outside defect cover
  • Rot resulting from failure to re-treat every 2 years (see conditions)
  • Damage from wind speeds > 50 mph sustained or any Met Office Named Storm event
  • Impact damage (hailstones, falling branches, gravel, projectiles)
  • Damage from incorrect assembly or modifications

Conditions of cover

Anchoring: on a prepared level base, anchored with the supplied Heavy-duty Ground Anchors per installation guide. Failure to anchor voids the structural warranty.

Maintenance: re-treat with any UK-purchased exterior wood preservative every 2 years. Keep a brief dated record; a photo of the freshly-treated frame is best.

SteelRoot

Galvanised-steel greenhouses

2-year manufacturing defect warranty on cellular polycarbonate panels + 10-year anti-corrosion warranty on the galvanised steel frame.
What's covered
  • Through-corrosion of the zinc coating on the steel arch frame
  • Manufacturing defects in the galvanisation process
  • Polycarbonate light-transmission loss greater than 6%
  • Polycarbonate delamination of the cellular structure
  • Polycarbonate edge cracks from a production fault
What's not covered
  • Surface marking from screw heads and minor finish abrasion at fastener points. This is inherent to galvanised steel and falls outside defect cover
  • Corrosion from un-treated mechanical damage caused after delivery
  • Damage from wind speeds > 50 mph sustained or any Met Office Named Storm event
  • Impact damage (hailstones, falling branches, gravel, projectiles)
  • Damage from incorrect assembly or modifications

Conditions of cover

Anchoring: on a prepared level base, anchored with the supplied ground anchors per installation guide. Failure to anchor voids the structural warranty.

Maintenance: inspect annually for surface damage at fastener points. Touch up any exposed steel with cold-galvanising spray within 14 days of noticing it.

If your panel fails in a way that's clearly not been caused by impact or misuse, we'll replace it.

If your timber rots from a material defect, and you've kept up the every-two-years re-treatment, we replace the rotted section. Whether the strict warranty terms cover it or not. That's the deal.

03 · HOW TO CLAIM

Three working days. One email.

Email support@waldenhaus.uk with your order number, a photo of the issue, and a brief description. No "site inspection before deciding" delays; the photo and description process is the assessment.

SUBMIT

Email with photo.

Order number, photograph of the issue, brief description of when you noticed it. For NORDIC timber rot claims: include a photo of the rotted section and your treatment record.

SAME DAY

ASSESS

We respond, then assess.

Acknowledgement within 2 working days. Assessment decision within 7 working days. If re-treatment records are incomplete, we review on a case-by-case basis; one missed cycle does not automatically void your warranty.

SHIP

Replacement on its way.

For approved claims, replacement parts are dispatched within 14 working days. We hold replacement parts in stock for 10 years from your purchase date, so the right part is ready when you need it.

04 · GOOD TO KNOW

Three extras worth reading.

Damage on arrival

Sign the carrier POD as "damaged" before the driver leaves. Photograph within 48 hours and email support@waldenhaus.uk. We replace damaged components free of charge and cover the delivery.

Warranty transfer

Both frame and polycarbonate warranties transfer with the greenhouse to a new owner, with no fee and no paperwork. They email their order reference to update our records.

Statutory rights

This warranty is offered on top of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of delivery.
