What we cover, and how to claim

Every greenhouse and sauna we sell, with the terms written out in full before you order: what is covered, what is not, and what is yours to do. Pick your product.

Timber greenhouses

NORDIC

  • 10 yearsframe, against rot

10-year anti-rot frame warranty (conditional on re-treating timber with any UK-purchased wood preservative every 2 years) + 2-year polycarbonate panel warranty (manufacturer defects)
What is covered
  • Rot in the load-bearing pine frame caused by a material defect
  • Structural failure caused by frame rot during the warranty period
  • Polycarbonate: delamination of the cellular structure
  • Polycarbonate: edge cracks that start from a production fault
What is not covered
  • Surface weathering of the timber: silvering, greying, tannin bleed, knot movement and seasonal shrinkage. Pine weathers like this by nature
  • Rot where the frame was not re-treated every 2 years (see below)
  • Damage from sustained wind above 50 mph, or from any Met Office Named Storm
  • Impact damage: hail, falling branches, gravel, anything thrown
  • Damage from incorrect assembly or from modifications
Your part
  • A firm, level base, and the greenhouse anchored with the ground anchors in the box, as the manual shows. An unanchored greenhouse is not covered for structural failure
  • Re-treat the frame every 2 years with any exterior wood preservative bought in the UK. Keep a dated photo of the freshly treated frame
  • If a treatment record is incomplete, we look at the claim case by case: one missed cycle does not end the warranty on its own

What is covered
  • Corrosion of the galvanised steel frame caused by a fault in the coating
  • Defects in the galvanising
  • Polycarbonate: delamination of the cellular structure
  • Polycarbonate: edge cracks that start from a production fault
What is not covered
  • Surface marks from screw heads and small scuffs at fixing points: normal for galvanised steel
  • Corrosion from damage after delivery that was not touched up
  • Damage from sustained wind above 50 mph, or from any Met Office Named Storm
  • Impact damage: hail, falling branches, gravel, anything thrown
  • Damage from incorrect assembly or from modifications
Your part
  • A firm, level base, and the greenhouse anchored as the manual shows: the ground anchors in the box on soil, bolt-down U-brackets on concrete, slabs or timber (not supplied). An unanchored greenhouse is not covered for structural failure
  • Once a year, look over the fixing points. Touch up any bare steel with cold-galvanising spray as soon as you notice it

The Cabin

  • 2 yearsthe cabin, the stove and the flue kit

2-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects, from the day of delivery, on the cabin and everything supplied in the crate, the wood-burning stove and its flue kit included.
What is covered
  • Manufacturing and material defects in the cabin and its fittings
  • The glass door, its hinges and catch, and the vent fittings, as supplied
  • Wood-fired cabins: the wood-burning stove and its flue kit, under this same warranty
  • Electric cabins: the Harvia heater also carries Harvia's own warranty, 2 years for home use plus 1 year if you register it with Harvia within 30 days
  • Missing or damaged parts found when the crate is unpacked against the packing list
What is not covered
  • Surface weathering and seasonal movement of the timber: the cabin arrives untreated, and solid timber moves with the seasons
  • Water getting in where the roof sealant was not applied, or not as the manual shows
  • Damage from incorrect assembly, from modifications, or from an electrical connection not made by a qualified electrician
  • Impact damage, and damage from sustained wind above 50 mph or any Met Office Named Storm
Your part
  • A firm, level base ready before delivery, and assembly as the manual shows
  • Treat the outside with any exterior wood finish before the first session and the first winter, and seal the roof edges at the roof stage. Keep a dated photo
  • Re-tighten the steel straps about a month after the build, then once a year
  • Electric: the heater connected on its own circuit by a qualified electrician, as Harvia requires. Wood-fired: the stove and flue fitted under Part J (England and Wales)

When something goes wrong

Arrived damaged or short

Check the delivery before the driver leaves. If anything is damaged, note it on the delivery note if you can and take photos. Then email us within 14 days of delivery with the photos and your order number. We replace damaged or missing parts free of charge, delivery included.

How to make a claim

  1. 1Send itEmail support@waldenhaus.uk or message us on WhatsApp: your order number, a photo of the problem and a line on when you noticed it. For a NORDIC frame, add a photo of the affected timber and your treatment record.
  2. 2We decideWe reply within 2 working days and give you a decision within 7. The photos are the assessment: no site visit.
  3. 3The part is on its wayApproved parts are sent within 14 working days. Under the warranty the part is free; the delivery is paid by you.

Spare parts

  • We keep replacement parts for 10 years from your purchase date, for greenhouses and saunas.
  • A part you broke, or one out of warranty, is sold at cost price plus delivery, quoted before you pay. NORDIC: up to two timber parts you broke yourself are free; you pay the delivery.
  • Polycarbonate damaged by impact is not covered. We sell a replacement sheet at cost price plus delivery, or any UK plastics supplier can cut the same twin-wall sheet; we confirm the size.
  • Saunas: parts, not a new cabin. We send the board, fitting or panel that is needed.

Changed your mind

  • You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind.
  • Items must be unused and in their original packaging: a greenhouse on its pallet with the film still on the polycarbonate, a sauna in its crate.
  • The return goes back on a pallet at your cost, typically £150 to £250. Anything faulty, or damaged in transit, we collect at our cost.

Selling the house?

The greenhouse warranties pass to the new owner with no fee: they email us the order reference and we update our records.

The warrantor is Waldenhaus Limited, 71-75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, company number 16877766, for goods delivered in the UK. These terms are in addition to your statutory rights, which they do not affect. If a product page ever says something different, this page applies. Last updated 27 September 2026.
