Yes, paint to any exterior colour. Sage green, charcoal, cream, Hague blue, whatever your garden's vocabulary wants. Most owners paint at the end of the first growing season once the timber has settled.

Paint on top of the wood preservative, or use a preservative-tinted base coat with paint over it. Both work. The 10-year frame warranty holds as long as the timber receives preservative re-treatment every 2 years, under or over the paint. The paint film alone is not classed as preservative, so don't skip the underlying treatment step.

Warm water, a drop of washing-up liquid, a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents and pressure washers: they damage the EPDM washers and can scratch the panel surface. Two cleans a year is plenty for most gardens, late autumn after leaf fall and early spring before serious propagation starts.

Algae on the cellular flutes shows up as a green tinge along the edges in damp seasons. A diluted horticultural cleaner (Citrox or similar, off the shelf at any garden centre) lifts it without harming the polycarbonate.

NORDIC-M (7.8 m² internal floor area) is the most-ordered size by some distance: roughly the working area of a small allotment plot, room for 4–6 tomato plants plus a seed-starting bench. Garden footprints under 50 m² usually land on S or M; 50–150 m² on M or L; over 150 m² on L, XL or XXL.

Among UK greenhouse owners, the most common regret is going too small. If you are between two sizes, take the larger: the step between sizes is £100 to £200 (S to M is £200, every step above that is £100), which is small against a year of growing-space regret. NORDIC has a 2.30 m ridge height and 1.51 m eaves height. Height alone does not determine whether planning permission is required.

You have 14 days from delivery to start a change-of-mind return. The greenhouse must be unused, unassembled and in its original packaging. You arrange and pay the return pallet courier (typically £150–£250 mainland UK).

NORDIC is built largely from standard hardware. The CrystalLight panels are 4 or 6 mm twin-wall polycarbonate, the brackets are 1.2 mm galvanised steel, and the fixings are standard stainless or zinc-plated hardware with washers.

Replacement parts are held for 10 years from purchase. Contact the customer-service team with your order number and a photograph of the component so the correct version can be identified.

Cross-ventilation is standard: a rear opening window opposite the door, so the greenhouse opens front and back. Manual roof vents and the SmartVent auto-opener are optional add-ons; the SmartVent uses a wax-piston that opens around 22°C and closes around 18°C, powered by temperature alone.

For very hot weeks in July and August, the realistic kit is: open the vents and doors at sunrise, a shading kit or whitewash if the plot bakes from the south, and a watering can or drip line for floor evaporation. Twin-wall polycarbonate holds heat well in winter and releases it more steadily than single-pane glass; in summer it is still a sun-trap if you ignore it, the same as every other greenhouse.

Entry-tier aluminium greenhouses and NORDIC serve different requirements. Compare the published frame section, joint design, glazing fixings, anchoring, maintenance and warranty terms rather than the starting price alone.
